Job Description

The Graduate Program Coordinator will work closely with the Chair of the Department of Global Studies & Languages and the Director of the Graduate Program to provide administrative support to the Online Master of Art in Spanish. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Manage the admissions process, including initial application checks, student questions, and grad school processes
  • Assign advisors and manage advisee lists
  • Answer questions from and liaise with prospective & incoming students
  • Update SPANTrack Moodle page as required
  • Manage the MA exams process - distribution, collection, etc.
  • Maintain program records
  • Initiate DocuSign forms
  • Schedule and attend Graduate Program meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Strong multitasking and task prioritization abilities
  • Collaborative working style and a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in computer-based applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Docs) and internet resources
  • Strong analytical and reflective thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA in a related field
  • Experience using Moodle
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and DocuSign
  • Experience assisting students in a college setting


Additional Information

This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to August 20, 2023. This is a part time (.5 Full Time Equivalency) position, and salary will be between $25,000 and $30,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
