QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or other related field.
  • At least eighteen months experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (preferably in an ICF setting).
  • Good computer, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to satisfy a background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Supervision Provided:

This position is directly supervised and responsible to the Residential Program Director.

Supervision Given:

The person in this position provides direct supervision to other staff and must provide regular direction and supervision to residents.

Work Schedule:

  • This position is full-time exempt and may require more than 40 hours per week.
  • Regular work schedule may include weekend shifts to best meet the needs of the agency.
    • MON - 10:30 am - 6:30 pm
    • TUE - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
    • WED - 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
    • THU - 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
    • FRI - 7:30 am - 3:30 pm 

Specific Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of an assigned group home of program and for the delivery of Active Treatment services to assigned residents.
  • Work cooperatively with other employees in providing the optimum level of care for the residents. 
  • Develop and implement individual training programs in compliance with ICF/ID regulations.
  • Plan and supervise activities of residents.
  • Document activities of residents as required and ensure staff complete required documentation.
  • Attend to medical and personal needs of residents.
  • Assure that dignity and privacy of residents is maintained through appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate community outings for residents, including shopping trips.
  • Ensure that residents have a safe environment.
  • Maintain ICF/ID compliance with all Federal and State requirements pertinent to the IDF/ID license.
  • Other duties as assigned.
