The Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as a trusted executive partner who provides the high-level coordination, communication, and administrative support necessary for the Provost to lead Idaho State University's academic enterprise effectively. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position implements and supports the operational priorities of the Office of Academic Affairs while ensuring the Provost's Office remains focused on institutional leadership, strategic initiatives, and academic excellence.
This role extends well beyond traditional administrative support. The Executive Assistant exercises sound judgment, anticipates executive needs, and manages a wide range of complex and confidential responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Director of Operations, the Executive Assistant executes established operational processes, coordinates executive activities, and serves as a key point of connection between the Provost's Office and internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate is an experienced executive support professional who understands that exceptional executive assistance is built on anticipation, organization, discretion, and trusted relationships. Working under the direction of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Executive Assistant provides executive-level coordination and administrative support across five primary areas of responsibility:

Salary will be between $60,000 and $65,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
