We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!Job DescriptionTo procure, store, and issue supplies in a supply operation; process and maintain inventory records; modify and implement inventory control and disposal procedures; perform related work.This is a cross functional role designed for someone who can move fluidly between departments. By being trained in both Inventory and Shipping & Receiving, this person provides the team with the flexibility needed to meet changing daily demands and to help keep operations running.This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.Key Responsibilities* Act as a versatile team member by maintaining up to date knowledge of both Inventory and Shipping & Receiving workflows.* Shift focus between inventory tasks and shipping/receiving duties as needed to support team priorities and deadlines.Minimum QualificationsExperience:* Storing, issuing, shipping and receiving materials and supplies; applying purchasing procedures.* Applying inventory control methods.* Operating material handling equipment.* Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.Some knowledge of:* Safety procedures for handling hazardous materials.Supplemental Information* This position involves lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds and may involve inclement weather working conditions.* Some positions may require moving and transporting hazardous materials.Specialty Requirement* These positions at ISU require a valid driver's license.Additional InformationISU minimum for this classification is $17.25/hour, commensurate with education and experience.
