Title: CVOR Tech

Location: Pocatello, ID

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift - 5x8-hour shifts (06:15 AM - 2:45 PM)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) cases including:
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
    • Valve replacements (AVR, MVR)
    • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
    • Aortic Aneurysm Repair (AAA)
    • Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
    • Type A Dissection and dissections from Cath Lab
    • Atrial Septal Defect repair
    • Angioplasty/stenting
    • Cardiomyoplasty
    • Laparoscopic cardiac surgery
    • Pericardial window
    • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
  • Provide intraoperative support for cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
  • Maintain sterile field using strict aseptic technique.
  • Perform specimen handling and labeling.
  • Ensure compliance with Universal Protocol (Time Out procedure).
  • Follow sterilization and disinfection standards.
  • Adhere to sharps safety, laser safety, radiation safety, fire safety, and emergency management protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and others.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (25-33%).
  • Document care using Epic charting system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of CVOR Tech experience (note: some documentation indicates 3 years minimum CVOR experience requirement).
  • Experience working in CVOR and cardiovascular surgical settings.
  • Proficiency in assisting with CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, , and other major cardiac cases.
  • BLS certification (required).
  • NBSTSA certification (required).
  • Experience with Epic charting system (required).
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Aseptic technique
    • Sterilization and disinfection
    • Specimen handling
    • Universal Protocol
    • Emergency management
    • Safety protocols (laser, radiation, sharps, fire)
  • Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Ability to work in a 1:1 patient ratio environment.
  • Call participation required (25-33%).
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (100-mile radius rule).
