Job Details

Under the supervision and direction of the IT Director, the Applied Business Software Specialist is responsible for assisting with maintaining daily operations of various custom business systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop business software support for users onsite and remote.
• Performs IT service provisioning (i.e. add/delete users, change of access, password resets, mailbox management).
• Works with other departments and vendors on IT related projects.
• Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements.
• Completes other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• IT certification or IT degree or Associate's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
• 1 - 3 years of proven working experience in the IT industry.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Problem solving and root-cause determination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects in a time-sensitive manner.
• Working knowledge of Windows XP/7/8/10, Macintosh iOS, Android, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft server administration, including but not limited to: Active Directory, File/Print, SQL,

Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019.
• Must have a valid drivers' license.
• Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support of business processes.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to moderate.
