Job Description

This position assists in coverage of general housekeeping and plant sanitation. This position also supports daily routine sanitation programs and performs sanitation and housekeeping functions outside of the processing areas.

Yard work, various outside tasks, and tasks in the attic or on roof.

Pest/weed control (must be able to spray and treat, as needed, for control and appearance)

Sanitation tools/equipment repair (repair of hoses, foamer, squeegees, shovels, and other tools)

Proper handling and use of concentrated hazardous chemicals

Proper use of a wide variety of hand and power tools

Must be able to operate a hyster and different types of tractors.

Recordkeeping and report maintenance

Must be trained as Confined Space Entrant and Attendant

Must be available to work during plant downtimes and weekends.

Must have company vehicle use authorization.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills oral and written.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
• Must have the manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings).
• Must pass a 30 shift Sanitation training period
