What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Support genetic scientists by identifying relevant information and delivering customer?specific search and analysis solutions
• Establish and automate a knowledge extraction pipeline for curating and visualizing knowledge from scientific publications
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement biomedical solutions that meet stakeholder requirements
• Monitor technology trends related to literature analysis and establish an external presence as a subject matter expert
• Develop tailored solutions while managing multiple projects and learning responsibilities

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelors degree with 10+ years of experience, Masters degree with 8 years, or Ph.D. with 6 years in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or life sciences
• Proficiency in Python at an intermediate level or higher
• Experience with relational databases and web development frameworks
• Strong analytical skills for processing and visualizing complex data
• Ability to effectively communicate with both scientists and non?scientists

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Solid biomedical knowledge and ability to translate complex scientific questions into information solutions
• Experience with biomedical information resources, literature, and data normalization
• Familiarity with Spark, text mining, natural language processing, and machine learning/AI
• Knowledge of data analysis technologies such as Rest APIs, XML, JSON, and KNIME
• Innate scientific curiosity and motivation to innovate in information/literature analysis
