Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager of AI Governance and Security to lead and execute a comprehensive strategy for governing and securing AI systems. This role is critical in ensuring our AI initiatives are built and operated with robust security controls, strong governance, and effective risk management. The ideal candidate will be a leader with deep expertise in both cybersecurity strategy and AI technology.
This is a key leadership position within the Cybersecurity organization. The role operates with a high degree of influence and requires building strong, collaborative relationships across the enterprise. Success is dependent on establishing key partnerships within Cybersecurity, Legal, Privacy, Enterprise Risk, and AI/ML Development teams.
Responsibilities:
Establish AI Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive AI risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the AI lifecycle.
Define and enforce AI policies and controls that aligning with best industry practices such as NIST AI RMF, OWASP AI Security and Privacy Guide
Ensure compliance with the evolving global landscape of AI regulations.
Serve as the primary liaison between Privacy, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, and AI/ML development teams to review AI use cases and evaluate security risks.
Serve as a key advisor to leadership on AI security risks and opportunities.
Strategic Plan for Secure AI Solution Design and Development:
Lead the strategy for integration of cybersecurity controls into the AI solution development lifecycle, from design and data ingestion to deployment and monitoring.
Lead the strategy to expand existing cyber threat detection and incident response capabilities to identify and respond to AI-specific threat vectors, such as model poisoning, data manipulation, and adversarial attacks.
Proactively reduce the AI attack surface by embedding security by design principles into all AI projects.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure all AI systems are built with security and privacy in mind.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in cybersecurity and a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their unique security challenges.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security strategies, policies, and frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience in a large, complex organization is highly desirable.
