iqbusiness is a leading management consulting firm. We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with a strong background in technical analysis and a proven track record in delivering successful projects to consult to our client in the Banking industry.

The Systems Analyst will be act as a bridge between business requirements and IT system design/implementation. This role requires extensive experience in both business processes and technical systems to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with business goals.
This is a hybrid role that requires 3-4 days onsite (Stellenbosch, Western Cape).

Key Responsibilities and/or output areas include, but are not limited to:

Advanced Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Lead the collection and documentation of business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specs.
• Design and propose system solutions, including process models, specifications, and architecture and collaborate with developers on systems solutions.

• Liaise with developers, vendors, and IT teams to ensure system designs are accurately implemented.
• Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation and quality assurance.
• Support the deployment and integration of new systems or enhancements.

• Experience in providing expert-level support and maintenance for existing systems beneficial.
• Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.
• Implement updates and improvements to existing systems as needed.

• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process diagrams.
• Conduct training sessions and provide advanced support to end-users and stakeholders on system functionalities and best practices.

• 5-8 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a related role.

• Deep understanding of system analysis and design methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with programming languages (Java) and system integration.
• Project experience in a cloud-based environment, specifically AWS.
• Modeling tools (UML, ERD), SQL, system diagramming tools, API documentation platforms.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex systems and processes.
• Expertise in translating intricate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes.

• Matric.
• University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelors Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMP) are highly desirable.
