Principal Business Architect at TJX

As a Principal Business Architect at TJX, you will play a pivotal role in aligning business strategy with technology execution to support the growth of key functions and enterprise initiatives. As part of the Business Architecture team, you will lead future-state planning, identify critical capability gaps, and shape scalable, efficient solutions that drive long-term value. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong consulting acumen, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across both business and IT.

Partner with business and IT leaders to capture strategic goals, identify core capabilities, and uncover operational pain points.

Conduct root cause analyses to identify opportunities across people, processes, and technology.

Develop and maintain business architecture models and artifacts, including capability maps, value streams, and strategic roadmaps.

Translate business strategy into actionable plans and link them to downstream initiatives and investments.

Collaborate across business units to identify cross-functional opportunities and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.

Research emerging trends and technologies to inform long-term planning and innovation.

Support documentation and communication efforts to drive decision-making and manage change.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Business Architecture practices, tools, and methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

8-10 years of experience in Operational/Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, Program Management or Consulting.

Strong understanding of Business Architecture concepts (e.g., strategies, value streams, capabilities, applications).

Experience working with business leaders to assess current/future capabilities and identify gaps.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, structured manner.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams.

Familiarity with strategic planning techniques and business case development.

Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following domains: Supply Chain, Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, eCommerce.

Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment.

Understanding of the off-price retail business model.

Appreciation for the role of technology in driving business outcomes.

Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
