At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing "total solutions" to our customers encompassing products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will quickly build and maintain customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing provided training to support sales offerings. The Team Lead will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of customer, commitment, change, caring, and creativity. The Retail Team Lead will demonstrate a passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered to our customers. Retail Team Lead (PT) will utilize Office Depot Inc.'s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers, to drive the sales of our total offerings, and properly assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction in every interaction. Through enthusiasm and expertise, Retail Team Lead will help us create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing our store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, and prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. The Retail Team Lead will also be a part-time 'Key Carrier' for their location and may perform Leader on Duty functions while in the role. In addition, the Retail Team Lead (PT) must be able to perform External Key Carrier responsibilities, which include but are not limited to, opening and closing responsibilities and be scheduled for those respective shifts. The essential functions of this position may require you to consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party.
High School diploma or equivalent education preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field. Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred. Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job. Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience would be desired. Must possess advanced selling skills. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, which are necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers. Must be adaptable to a changing environment. Must be able to assist others in a professional environment. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to use technology applicable to role, and to access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities. Must possess ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system. Pays close attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area. The salary range for this role is 10.73 to 16.50, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
