Job Summary
This position assists with data creation and maintenance is primarily responsible for creating, inputting, and verifying various geospatial data; producing maps and other GIS related products; helping maintain ArcGIS Enterprise, other geodatabases, and related systems, and assist with web map application development to provide accessible County geospatial data. This position works with other County departments, other agencies, and the public to update geospatial data. The work is performed under the supervision of the GIS Manager. The principal duties of this class are performed in a public office environment; some field work may be required to assist in training or data collection.

Bannock County was established in 1893 and was named after the Native American tribe indigenous to the area. Bannock County is the sixth-most populous county in Idaho and as of the 2020 census had a population of 87,018. The City of Pocatello is the county seat and largest metropolitan area in the county.
