Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Custodial Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings while supporting scheduled events. This role involves working alongside part-time custodial staff to ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained, safety protocols are followed, and building setups for events are completed efficiently. You will be responsible for mentoring, training, and guiding part-time employees in the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals while ensuring compliance with safety and customer service standards.

Key duties include maintaining communication with building tenants and patrons to address concerns and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. You will also perform daily building inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and other areas requiring attention, coordinating with part-time staff and submitting work orders when necessary. In addition, you will foster the professional development of custodial employees by providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.

This position also involves participating in personal and professional development opportunities such as departmental training sessions and HR-provided courses to enhance job skills. You will be expected to uphold high standards of punctuality, attendance, and adherence to policies set by upper management. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent or experience in a complementary field (facilities, custodial, etc.)

Experience:

A minimum of one-year custodial experience is preferred.

Skills:

Incumbent must be dependable, hardworking, willing to follow directions, able to give instructions, work well with others, and be able to communicate verbally and in writing. It is preferred that he/she is familiar with basic computer programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Work Schedule

Regular Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 6:30 PM - 2:30 AM

Weekend / Holiday / On Call:

Optional occasional on-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

The ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
