Get to Know Your Team:

* Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

* Assists in smooth patient flow throughout the facility by processing incoming calls via switchboard, alarms, two -way radio and emergency phones and paging systems as needed.

* Receives and responds to incoming calls to the hospital main phone number.

* Receives and responds to in-house calls for Telecommunications assistance.

* In accordance to hosptial policy and procedures, responds to code activations and alerts using overhead paging, Net Page, and Page Gate services as appropriate.

* Monitors alarms and alerts appropriate staff during alarm events as outlined on the Competency checklist.

* Provides support to Security through monitoring radio traffic, dispatching security when needed and relaying patient transport information as needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* One year in a telecommunication setting.

Preferred Job Requirements:

* Medical terminology experience
